So, I'm not so good at this updating the blog thing. But, we're in our home, and the main floor is basically painted.

But more importantly, we found out a little over a week ago that we're expecting a BOY to join the family! While I was excited at the prospect of a girl, I am equally excited for a boy. Will was pretty darn cute. And, I like sailboats. I've wanted to recreate my old sailboat room from yore for a long time.

Still no pictures, but soon. I promise. We're going to Disney World next week with Will's sisters, and maybe they'll actually take some. We tend to not take them. Here's hoping!!

a home

Well, we've found it. And we've almost closed on the thing. Or at least we're hoping to close really soon, like in 9 days! Somehow, we've ended up with our dream home, and couldn't be more ecstatic about it.

The basic logistics is: 5 bed, 3 bath 2500 sf and on a .25 acre lot. We are very excited about the master bedroom with its two walk-in closets and 5 piece bath. When we went in and told our current apartment complex that we were moving, the lady seemed shocked to hear that we were going from a 2 bed 2 bath apartment to one that is so much bigger. We're a little shocked as well. But, that extra room won't be wasted for too long.

I don't know why we've waited for so long to announce, but here goes. We are expecting a little one of our own in February! Valentine's day to be exact. Some how it just seemed like one of those things that didn't seem like it needed mentioning yet (Probably because I still needed to hear the heartbeat the last time I posted). I'm pretty convinced that the baby is a girl, but I don't know why I think that. I'm just barely beginning to show, unless I'm laying down in bed. When I stand up, she just goes...somewhere not visible.

So in a nutshell, we're moving and we're expecting and life is a little stressful at the moment because of it.

oh no!

Every once in a while - more like at least once a day - I check the blogs of my friends and I think..."why don't you post more often?" Then I looked around and realized that it has been more than two months since my last update. I am properly ashamed and have no excuses for you at this time. We have been busy, and haven't taken a single picture during our busy-ness. So, those requesting pictures...sorry.

As a general update, we've been to Utah for an Anderson family reunion, featuring my parents and their children. Everyone was able to attend, and it really was fun to have all 33 of us there. We truly are getting to be a gigantic family. I like it. To compensate or at least make it up to Will for the craziness of the Andersons, we've been spending some time with his sisters and mother here for the past 10 days or so. We've gone swimming twice, eaten way too much (delicious) food (Thanks Pam!), and spent many hours playing with/talking with family. It has been nice. We're also looking forward to the Morrell reunion in a couple of weeks in Utah again. It will be fun to see most of the family there.

I suppose the biggest thing that has been keeping us busy is the whole "house hunting" thing. We've seen 37 homes so far and are on tap to see at least 5 more. Yes, there are some we've liked, but haven't moved fast enough on and lost out on them. It has made me a little sad, but we'll find the house that is right for us soon.

In other non-update-y type things, it has been HOT here. We're set to break the record on number of days over 90 degrees in a row. I'm not such a fan of that. We've been eating lots of popcicles. I have the KA-POW temporary tattoo to prove it.
