The DS saga

First and foremost, it must be acknowledged. I like video games. I mean, I really like video games. Not the shoot-em-up type, but Mario? I love Mario games, and I always have. This is why my story must be told.

You see, for my birthday, I got a pink Nintendo DS. It was so much fun. I admit, I spent a little too much money on its accessories, but it provided me with many hours of enjoyment. I thought it so much fun, that I got Will one as well. Not pink, blue. We were able to play games the entire flight to California, and have beaten "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" so many times driving back and forth places, I only wish we really had those millions of dollars.

So, after much persuasion, I went and purchased "Super Mario Bros - New" two weeks ago. Boy, this game is fun. It is a lot like the original, but with some mighty fine twists. I stayed up one Saturday night until 1am playing it. I had gotten to the 4th world, and I was really liking it. But, I figured that being ready for church was probably a little more important, so off to bed I went.

Sunday, right after church, and I mean the minute we got home, I started looking for the DS to continue my fun. But it was no where to be found. I accused Will of hiding it from me, because I am far too attached to the thing, but he denied any knowledge of its whereabouts. Still, to this day, we don't know where that DS is. I think it might have fallen into the garbage can, and then my wonderful Will took the garbage out. The worst part was, the cool Mario Brothers game was in it! I still could play Will's DS, and I did. But, I wanted that other game...and my own DS back.

There is a happy ending to this story. You see, my sister, once hearing the story and realizing how sad I truly was, ended up springing for a new one for me! My new DS is Polar White, and I really like it. (Don't think I'm completely spoiled rotten, we are watching her children for 5 days in a couple of weeks. This is part of the bribe for that).

If only I had the game. Oh well. I can't have everything in life!
